The New York Institute for Haiti Advocacy is a publicly supported foundation, as per section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Service Code.Our mission is to advocate for the rights and dignity of immigrant New Yorkers. We encourage the participation of Haitian-Americans in all aspects of life in New York. We instill public understanding of the cultures and customs of immigrants in New York. We promote new knowledge and concepts in service of international justice. We identify and disseminate information about best practices in human rights and immigrant rights.
