The mission of The African Diaspora Film Festival, Inc is to expand the
traditional views and perceptions of what the Black experience is by
showcasing films depicting the richness and diversity of the global
Black experience from Peru to Zimbabwe, from New Zealand to Jamaica. The
African Diaspora Film Festival, Inc. seeks to advance public interest in and
understanding of the cinema from, about and related to Africa and the
African Diaspora; to expose the public to the works of established and
emerging filmmakers through film festivals and other productions such as
panel discussions, film series, outreach programs and other activities;
and to provide filmmakers with a forum to expose their works to the public.
Established in 1993, ADFF is an annual, seventeen day long event that
features over 70 World and US premieres, recent popular titles, classic
movies and independent releases.
