The mission of the Long Island Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Inc. is to promote the enjoyment of film that is made by, for, and of interest to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community of Long Island, to promote the development of lgbt filmmakers by providing a forum to present their work, to aid, assist, develop, exhibit, promote, foster encourage and preserve films with gay themes and of gay interest, and to promote discussion and scholarship of film. This mission is achieved primarily through the production of film festivals and other special presentations of film and video.
