I know this show has a lot more than the video design to offer, but so far the video aspect is all I've gotten to see.  It's a lush abstract immersive video that plays to the theatrical non cinematic.  In other words worth seeing.

It's nothing short of amazing the amount and variety of video surfaces and environments that can be packed into a small blackbox like HERE.

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Just wanted to post that my current project, A Show of Hands, will be projected this weekend as part of the Dumbo Art Festival. It'll be projected onto the exterior of the old Empire Stores building, overlooking Brooklyn Bridge Park, by the river.  Just near the intersection of Main St & Plymouth St.

Please come by and say hello if you're nearby on Saturday evening!

A Show Of Hands, a chance to participate

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

A Show Of Hands, A participatory public art project

DPI resident Ed Purver invite you to submit what you want to tell the world, and he will join hands with your idea.

This is a rare chance at participatory architecture, Ed and his cast of hands translate positive sentiments into gesture, and then silently shout it from the windows of buildings.

The piece is best described by any of the photos, on the site or here, and for the best explanation of the participation see the submitted messages section of the website, and view some of the "video translations".

Then keep and eye out for larger than life limbs.
