It is a multipurpose entity run by artists for artists that presents, produces and sponsors. Since its incorporation it has provided services and support to individuals, groups, and organizations actively involved in the production of visual, performing, and media arts. Allied has a proven track record for effective management. Allied's contacts and resource lists are a vital reference for locating funding sources, materials and production space. In New York City, as a pivotal site, our projects intersect with three programs; Improvement of quality of life in disadvantaged neighborhoods, enhancing of public space and community life and the fostering of an environment conducive to the artistic and creative process. |
DescriptionPERFORMANCES, SCREENINGS, EXHIBITIONS, DISTRIBUTION, WORKSHOPS, AND COMMUNITY OUT-REACH PROGRAMS AS PER MISSION. LE PETIT VERSAILLES GARDEN: a May- October season of public events. LPV TV : an MNN community cable program. ARCHIVING/PRESERVATION: Allied expands its on-going incentive to archive and preserve the visual art components of the ABC No Rio Archives. In keeping with both organizations' multidisciplinary missives, this endeavor incorporates the moving image documentation of activities occurring on site at No Rio, as well as offshoot projects including performance, cinema, and electronic works at other sites by a large network of supported artists. In tandem with related groupings of the period & milieu of the so-called "Downtown" arts, Allied is committed to preserving, archiving, distributing and exhibiting works and activities of historical significance that have heretofore been omitted by similar recent incentives of note.
